| A glossary for new homebuyers
Completion level: The exterior of every Neatherlin home is completely finished, while the interior is finished to the degree contracted by the homebuyer.
- 95% complete: It includes interior doors, trim, cabinets, washer/dryer hookups, finished plumbing with fixtures, countertops, and energy efficient heating/cooling system. You are responsible for adding such features as floor coverings, paint, or any additional upgrades.
- Partial Package: A shell home with rough plumbing, finished electric, an insulation package, and finished drywall.
- Shell (stage) home: Our most basic and affordable interior completion level. The inside of a shell is unfinished, with open stud walls ready for you to begin the finishing work.
Elevation: A scale drawing of the front of a home showing optional faces, materials, and roof lines.
Floor plan: An architectural drawing of a home, drawn to scale as if viewed from above.
Lot: A term often used to describe a piece of land that a home will be built on.
New Home Gallery: A Neatherlin Homes model home center, a location to view and tour model homes.
Subcontractor: Independent workers with specialized skills and experience, such as a painter, carpenter or plumber.
Tender: To turn over the home from the builder to the homeowner.
Upgrade: To choose a material, appliance, or other option that is not standard.
